Nutrition institute is research organisation with public concession for public research activity. Our research group “Nutrition and public health” collaborates in different research projects which are co-financed by Public research agency, ministries, EU commission and industry. In collaboration with industry we implement applicative research projects in the field of food and nutrition, which can be partially co-financed from public funds. We also implement programmes of health protection and strength which are financed by Slovenian Ministry of health in the scope of National programme on food and physical activity for health 2015 – 2025.

Nutrition institute is engaged in research and education in the field of nutrition and advising the food industry in the formulation and labeling of foods. In the scope of the institute, research group Healthy Nutrition is established, which performs research on food and nutrition.
