PhD Candidate – Young Researcher
Nina's current research focuses on dietary sugar consumption and its adverse health effects. Nina obtained her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Ljubljana and a master's degree with distinction in Molecular Biology from Wageningen University. Upon graduation she was employed at the Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology at Imperial College London, where she studied obesity-induced gene regulation in ovarian cells. She was also intermittently employed at Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam, where she examined changes in epigenetic code as a consequence of outer stimuli.
