Researcher
Linda Okoren is a researcher at the Nutrition Institute. She is involved in the NutriSom project, which investigates the effectiveness and safety of dietary supplementation for sleep quality. Within this project, she is involved in an intervention study comparing the effects of valerian and melatonin on sleep quality. Additionally, she contributes to writing content for the National Portal on Food and Nutrition – www.PREHRANA.si, which provides reliable information on nutrition and health.
Linda completed her bachelor’s degree at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana, during which she spent a semester abroad at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania. She completed her master’s degree in human nutrition at the University of Copenhagen, where she gained valuable experience in designing and conducting clinical research. Throughout her studies, she focused particularly on public health and sustainable dietary practices, as well as dietary supplements and sports nutrition, publishing a review article on the latter.
