Researcher

Dr. Edvina Hafner is a researcher at the Institute of Nutrition. She is involved in the national research programme Nutrition and Public Health and in several other national and international projects in the fields of nutrition and food. In addition to her research work, she is responsible for managing the Prehrana.si web portal, coordinating the Innovative Foods of the Year project, and public communication related to the promotion of healthy lifestyles, with a strong focus on social media.

She completed her undergraduate and master’s studies in nutrition at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana, Department of Food Science. She obtained her PhD within the Biosciences programme, where her doctoral research focused on food labelling as a tool to encourage healthier food choices, with particular emphasis on front-of-package nutrition labelling.
